Gearing up for Jingle

The highlight of Cross Racing in the Midwest. Jingle Cross Rock in Iowa City. Last year was the most fun I've ever had on a 'cross bike. Can't wait. Here's a recap.

More Cross Meanderings

Devils Cross, Bettendorf. Superb course put on by Dicecycling. A fast, bumpy, twisty, very technical rollercoaster. All about the handling. You missed it.

Devils CX - Triple Barriers. Note the different porting and remount styles.

Devils CX - Double Barriers
One crosser and his dog Image - Angy Snoop

Bubba CX#8 - Mt. Pleasant Winery. Haven't raced this series in St. Louis yet. After seeing this video it's definitely on the agenda. Maybe not the best cross course ever but pretty crazy. Check the crash at 1:30 and the route through the bar.

PBC Annual Donations

This year the PBC made two notable donations to the community: (1) Hult Health Care and (2) World Bicycle Relief. I have attached the two 'thank you' notes from each organization recognizing the PBC for our support.

Death by Cyclocross

Estabrook Park, Milwaukee - taking the lead and getting past lapped riders through whirligig.

Estabrook Park, Milwaukee - losing the lead through barriers.

Estabrook Park, Milwaukee - Cat 4s through barriers.

CROSS from Paul Michna on Vimeo.

Campton Cross - St CharlesUW Whitewater CX - we had to climb up the retarded hill 3 times per lap, hairpin into the beach and repeat. A lot steeper than it looks.
Campton Cross - Proctor takes the High road, Batman the low.

Indoor Training Week 1

Well, It's definitely started.....Hours of sitting on a stationary bike, sweat running down your face with nothing but a measly fan to cool you off. Wasn't this a sharp wake-up call to all the fantastic hours we will be sitting in Proctor this winter? Don't you love the Midwestern winters.
At least tonight, we got to watch Keanu Reeves in "The Matrix Revolutions." This isn't the best movie on earth, but it sure beats staring at Barton's rear for 70 mins now, doesn't it Jim?

Iceman Cometh...

Just over 72 hours until race time... and just over 74 hours until beer & brat time.
